I'm a freelance photography assistant. Originally from Germany, I moved to Barcelona in 2015. A native speaker of German, fluent in English and currently at a conversational level of Spanish, While working myself as a gastronomy photographer and portrait photographer I like to work with photographers, to learn and to get insides into different photography genres. As the saying goes: “Early is On Time, On Time is Late, and Late is Unacceptable!” I understand that handling a larger production can be a challenge, even for seasoned photographer. I’ll be a little bit early and gonna help you to get the job done.
Keep everything clean and tidy
A set can get very unruly, very quickly. Part of my job is that this does not happen while keeping an eye on the equipment and making sure that stylist and makeup-artist are happy.
Anticipate
I try to be aware of what the photographer may need next on the shoot to make everything run smoothly and timely. Whether a lens change, a new card or moving the lighting equipment.
Watch & learn
Skill Set
While still having a lot to learn, I have skills I can help you with:
- Hard skills like rigging of gear safely on location, use of light-meter, use of gray cards
- Software skills in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and the basics of Capture One
- Business skills
